On October 30, 2009, I am a guest speaker at the NIH, in Bethesda on colon cancer, and the need for testing, screening, outreach and awareness. Also I will be discussing and effects of chemotherapy treatment. Telling them the history of my own life and how that is an example of the importance of testing, is a way for me to make an important impact.

The Semi-Colon club is a 501 (c)-3 organization specifically founded on the premise of outreach and education for the purpose of colon cancer awareness. Its mission is to bring this disease to the forefront of the American conscience so that it can be preventable, treatable, and beatable.
