On October 30, 2009, I am a guest speaker at the NIH, in Bethesda on colon cancer, and the need for testing, screening, outreach and awareness. Also I will be discussing and effects of chemotherapy treatment. Telling them the history of my own life and how that is an example of the importance of testing, is a way for me to make an important impact.

The 2nd Annual Semi Colon Crawl

The Semi Colon Crawl is a 5k walk designed to raise funds to benefit the Semi Colon Club in their efforts to help increase outreach and awareness of colon cancer. Colon cancer is the 2nd most deadliest cancer, yet one of the most preventable and beatable of all cancers.

The 1st Annual Semi Colon Crawl

I wish to thank all participants, sponsors and committee volunteers for their contributions to the 1st Annual Semi Colon Crawl. The event had 110 walkers and helped raise money for the Semi Colon Club's effort to increase outreach and awareness about colon cancer. Next years event promises to be bigger and even more successful! My heartfelt thank you to all involved.
